Sarah Wiebe, CPOA, Technician

I was born in Bellingham. I attended Blaine High School and Columbia Bible College, earning certification in Biblical Studies in 2002.

I have been working at Optometric Physicians Northwest since 2002.

I have enjoyed continuing my education and earning my CPO and CPOA while working as an optometric technician.

I enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, and playing volleyball for the City of Bellingham in the winter.

Jennifer Hill, Optician

I have lived in Bellingham since 1969 and attended Bellingham High School. I have 8 years experience working in sales. I have worked as an optician for 6 years total, 2 years specifically at Optometric Physicians Northwest.

I am currently initiating my 3 year apprenticeship and will be taking my ABO licensure exam (board certification for opticians) at completion. I take pride in my work as an optician as it enables me to help you see, look and feel great! I enjoy Optometric Physicians NW because we truly stand behind our promises.

I have a wonderful family; my partner Doug and two awesome kids, Morgan and Alex. I love doing anything on or near water and white water rafting is my passion.

Leah Keizer, Optician

I have been working with this practice since 2007. I am currently completing my second year of my 3 year apprenticeship, and once completed I will be taking my ABO (licensed optician) exam.

The Bearden’s have been very supportive of continuing education and encourage us to keep learning. I have really enjoyed working with such a caring group of people.

I am married and we have a daughter Ellora. We live in Blaine and enjoy kayaking, hiking, fishing, concerts, and being involved with our church.

Montana, Front Desk

I was born in Oregon, but my family moved soon after to Juneau, Alaska, where I was raised. I attended highschool in Juneau, and then earned certification as an Ophthalmic medical assistant (OMA). I worked as a medical assistant in Alaska for several years before meeting my boyfriend and moving to Bellingham in 2007.

I have been working at Optometric Physicians Northwest since 2009. I feel blessed to have joined such a great team, and I look forward to continuing my education here in the future.

I enjoy camping, shopping, reading, and traveling back to Alaska to visit family and friends. I enjoy spending time with my boyfriend Anthony and our english bulldog Abby!

Mie Curtis, Office Manager

I graduated from the American Institute of Medical/Dental Technology in Utah in 1995, earning my COA (Certified Ophthalmic Assistant).

I have worked for Optometric Physicians Northwest since 1996 and have now earned my CPOA.

I love working in optometry and am currently the office manager of our fabulous team!

I grew up in Canada and I’ve had the priveledge of living in beautiful Bellingham for the past 13 years.

I enjoy running, biking, swimming, being a mom to my two wonderful children (Daja and Colin) and spending time with my husband Eli.

Shelley Dick, COT, Technician

I am a Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) who graduated from the Vision Care Program at the Spokane Community College in 1999.

My education & experience includes ophthalmic medical training and I have been a refracting tech. since 2001.

My husband, John, and I moved to Bellingham in 2007 and recently settled in our first home in Birch Bay.

I have been enjoying the Puget Sound Area and views of Mt. Baker by capturing their facets through photography.

I enjoy helping people both in the medical field and in volunteering my time in Bible education.

Michelle Dahl, CPO, Schedule Manager

I have enjoyed working at Optometric Physicians Northwest since 2006.

Learning new things and meeting new people have been just 2 of the great experiences I have had since joining the team. The staff and patients have become my 2nd family.

My husband, 3 sons and I moved here in 2004 and we enjoy hiking, camping, biking, fishing, and all the opportunities that Bellingham offers. I am CPO certified (Certified Para Optometric) and look forward to many more opportunities for education and advancement.

Lisa Edwards, Front Desk

I have been with Optometric Physicians Northwest since 2002. I have mainly been involved with the front desk team.

I have enjoyed working with such a friendly team of people that hold patient care as their top priority. I currently work one-day per week as I am semi-retired.

My husband and I are blessed with 2 wonderful kids and a new baby grand-daughter. I enjoy the beauty of the northwest and share my time between my Bellingham home and my cabin in the San Juans.
